Reverse description Standing figure of Tyche of Mytilene facing left, crowned and holding a patera over a lighted altar in her right hand and a Dionysiac herm in her left. Nike, standing to the left, reaches forward to crown Tyche with a wreath, bestowing divine favour upon the city's tutelary deity. The composition is rendered in the typical high-relief style of Lesbos civic coinage of the Valerianic period. The reverse legend in two lines names the issuing magistrate and the civic ethnic of the Mytileneans.
