Reverse description The goddess Enyo/Mâ depicted as a radiate standing figure facing front within a tetrastyle temple, her right hand resting upon a shield and her left arm supporting a club. The temple pediment is adorned with a spread-winged eagle at its apex, with decorative elements at the angles. On either side of the cult image, a Nike stands upon a base, each holding a wreath. The architectural rendering faithfully depicts the famous sanctuary of Mâ at Comana Pontica, reflecting its religious significance as a hierocaesarean and inviolate city.
