Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, portrayed with the shoulder turned toward the viewer and the bust seen from the rear in the distinctive Mysian provincial style. The imperial effigy displays careful detail in the rendering of the paludamentum and cuirass. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full titulature in the field around the portrait.
