Adramyteum, a coastal city in Mysia with a harbor active in grain and timber trade, retained the right to strike civic bronze under Roman imperial rule — a privilege exercised here under the named local magistrate Aurelius Kladaios, whose title of strategos places administrative authority firmly in Greek civic tradition even as the nomen Aurelius signals his family's enfranchisement under the Constitutio Antoniniana of 212 AD. Civic bronzes naming a strategos are useful precisely because they anchor an otherwise floating provincial issue to a specific local administration.
