A winged Nike approaches from the right, extending a wreath toward the enthroned deity in a gesture of honor or victory. The composition is characteristic of civic honorific imagery on provincial bronze coinage of Asia Minor under the Severan dynasty. The reverse legend in Greek identifies the issuing city and the eponymous strategos responsible for the coinage. |
