| Obverse description | Radiate, draped bust of Severus Alexander facing right, the radiate crown rendered with pronounced spikes and the drapery visible over the left shoulder. The effigy is struck in moderately high relief on an irregularly flan, with a circular Greek legend surrounding the portrait. The coin bears a piercing hole at the lower right, suggesting post-antique use as a pendant or amulet. Surface shows dark green and brown patination consistent with prolonged burial. |
