Obverse description Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gaius Julius Verus Maximus Caesar facing right, rendered in three-quarter rear view, a typical provincial presentation convention of the Severan period. The effigy displays military paraphernalia including visible cuirass detailing and paludamentum. The encircling Greek legend identifies the Caesar by his full titulature, distributed around the bust in the field.
