Obverse description Laureate bust of Lucius Verus facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation, rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style. The emperor's beard is depicted in the curled, full fashion characteristic of his portraiture. The Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular striking. The portrait displays the robust modeling and high relief typical of mid-Antonine Alexandrian coinage.
