Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, with hair elaborately coiffed and bound, rendered in the Antonine provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The effigy is set within a circular field with the Greek legend partially visible around the periphery. The portrait displays the empress in her customary idealized representation as Augusta, with drapery visible at the shoulder.

Reverse description Two Canopi facing each other, each deity represented as a vessel-form figure with a human head, set upon individual bases or pedestals. Between the bodies of the two Canopi appears a crescent, a distinctly Egyptian religious symbol associated with lunar iconography. The pairing of Canopi on Alexandrian provincial coinage reflects the syncretic religious traditions of Roman Egypt. The regnal year legend L Ϛ (year 6) appears in the field.
