The reverse field carries the Greek legend ϹΗΜΑϹΙΑ L ΕΝΑΤΟΥ, indicating the regnal year designation of year nine. The elephant-head cap is an iconographic attribute closely associated with Alexandria and its Ptolemaic heritage. |
