| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and seen from the rear, rendered in the characteristic Antonine style with a long beard and tightly curled hair. The imperial portrait is executed with strong relief typical of provincial Greek coinage of the period. The encircling legend in Greek characters reads ΑΥ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΥΡΗΛΙ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ, distributed around the periphery of the flan. |
