| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, rendered in the typical provincial style of Ionian mint workshops, with hair elaborately coiffed and drawn back. The empress is depicted with finely modelled facial features and visible drapery folds across the shoulder. A Greek legend encircles the bust, reading ΦΑΥϹΤΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ, with the phi rendered in the distinctive dot-bar-dot (·I·) form characteristic of certain eastern provincial issues. The portrait presents Faustina II in her role as Augusta, consort of Marcus Aurelius. |

| Reverse description | Two facing cult statues stand on either side of the field in a symmetrical homonoia composition. To the left stands the cult statue of Apollo Didymeus, nude, facing, holding a stag and a bow — the canonical image associated with the great sanctuary of Didyma near Miletus. To the right stands the celebrated cult statue of Artemis of Ephesus, facing, wearing a kalathos (cylindrical headdress), adorned with characteristic supports (lateral braces), in the well-known hieratic Ephesian type. Between the two statues, a stag appears on each side, reinforcing the divine attributes of both deities. The Greek legend in the field or around the periphery reads ΜΕΙΛΗϹΙΩΝ ΕΦΕϹΙΩΝ ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ, proclaiming concord between the cities of Miletus and Ephesus. |
