| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, displaying the paludamentum and scaled cuirass in typical provincial Roman style. The legend encircles the effigy in Greek characters along the periphery of the flan. The portrait conveys the emperor's characteristic beard and mature features as known from his brief reign of 217–218 AD. The flan is irregular and the surface shows typical patination consistent with a hammered provincial bronze issue. |
