Reverse description Tyche of Nicaea enthroned and facing left, holding a cornucopia in one arm and a sceptre in the other, personifying the city's fortune and prosperity. Standing behind her, Dionysus crowns Tyche with a wreath, the god depicted holding his characteristic thyrsus. The composition underscores the divine favour bestowed upon the city of Nicaea, rendered in the provincial Greek artistic style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. The reverse legend identifies the issuing city in the field.
