| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter perspective, a common convention in late Severan and Gordian-era provincial coinage. The emperor's effigy is rendered with careful attention to military dress, the paludamentum visible over the cuirassed shoulder.
