Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial titulature legend runs in Greek characters around the periphery of the field. The portrait reflects the provincial die-cutting style characteristic of Phrygia under the mid-third century Roman administration.

Reverse description The Emperor stands erect in a four-horse chariot (quadriga) advancing to the right, holding the reins; a winged Nike figure hovers above and to the right, reaching forward to crown him with a wreath. The four horses are rendered in vigorous motion, their forelegs raised. A multi-line Greek dedicatory legend naming the local magistrate Alexandros II occupies the field and border, a formulaic honorific type typical of Phrygian civic coinage of the Severan and Gordian periods.
