Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of the Conventus of Cyzicus. The imperial effigy is encircled by a beaded border, with the Greek imperial titulature arranged as a legend around the periphery of the flan. The portrait displays the characteristic youthful features associated with Elagabalus on provincial bronze coinage of Bithynia.
