| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and rendered in the characteristic Antonine style. The effigy is depicted with drapery over the shoulder, typical of Alexandrian provincial coinage of this period. The Greek legend encircles the portrait in the field, identifying the empress as Augusta. The coin is heavily worn, with the surfaces showing significant patination consistent with a long-circulated provincial bronze. |
