Reverse description Bare-headed bust of Marcus Aurelius, depicted with a short beard and wearing a cuirass with paludamentum, facing right. The portrait reflects his status as Caesar and adopted heir to Antoninus Pius, rendered in a youthful yet mature Antonine style. The surrounding Greek legend identifies him as Marcus Aurelius Caesar, son of the Augustus. The flan is slightly irregular, as typical of provincial hammered bronze issues of the Koinon of Cyprus.
