Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Pergamene coinage. The effigy displays a finely modelled laureate wreath over the brow, with drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait along the periphery of the flan, reading from left to right. The die work reflects the accomplished engraving tradition of the Pergamum mint during the Antonine period.
