| 背面描述 | Emperor Trajan depicted standing in a biga drawn by two centaurs, moving to the right. The emperor is shown laureate, wearing a toga, holding an eagle-tipped sceptre in one hand while raising the other arm in a gesture of address or salutation. Each centaur carries a Nike (Victory figure), lending the composition a strongly triumphal character befitting Trajan's Dacian victories. The regnal date legend L ΙΕ (year 15) appears in the field, anchoring this striking reverse type to the Alexandrian civic calendar year corresponding to 111–112 CE. |

Year 15 of Trajan's reign in Egypt — 111/112 AD — falls squarely within the period of his Dacian wars and their enormous administrative and financial demands on the empire. Alexandrian bronze coinage operated on a closed-currency system: Egyptian provincials were forbidden from using imperial coinage directly, and coins imported into Egypt were melted and restruck at the Alexandrian mint, giving the prefecture an unusually tight monetary control that persisted well into the third century.
