| Beschrijving keerzijde | An octastyle temple façade depicted in frontal elevation, its eight columns supporting an entablature and pediment rendered in the conventional provincial style. Within the intercolumniation, a cult statue is shown standing facing, holding a long sceptre in the right hand. The architectural detail, including column shafts and stepped stylobate, is characteristic of the civic temple types celebrated on Phrygian civic bronzes. The Greek legend encircles the design, naming the local archon Tlepolemos and referencing the Synnadean civic community. The overall composition emphasises the religious and civic prestige of Synnada within the Roman provincial hierarchy. |
