Reverse description Athena standing facing, head turned to the left, clad in aegis and helmet, holding a long spear in her left hand and a Nike figurine in her outstretched right hand; a large round shield rests against her left side or stands behind her. Uncertain symbols or control marks appear in the field on either side of the figure. The reverse legend distributed around the field names the local strategos Aelius Artemidoros and identifies the issuing city of Miletopolis. The composition reflects the civic pride and Hellenistic artistic tradition typical of Mysian provincial bronzes under the Severan dynasty.
