Reverse description A female deity, tentatively identified as Aphrodite or possibly Hera, stands facing with head turned to the right. She holds what appears to be a club in one hand and an apple or pomegranate in the other, attributes that may conflate iconographic elements of multiple divinities. The reverse legend in Greek encircles the figure within the field, identifying the issuing civic authority. The style is consistent with Heraclean provincial coinage of the Severan and post-Severan period, with broad, somewhat worn relief characteristic of civic bronzes.
