Obverse description Confronted busts of Philip II, laureate, draped and cuirassed, facing right, and Philip I, laureate, draped and cuirassed, facing left, set vis-à-vis at the centre of the flan. The imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery in Greek characters, identifying both co-rulers. The effigies are rendered in the provincial workshop style characteristic of Carian civic bronzes of the mid-third century AD.
