| Beschrijving keerzijde | Tyche, the personification of civic fortune, stands facing left in full figure, rendered in the conventional Hellenistic tradition of provincial bronze coinage. In her extended right hand she holds a ship's rudder symbolising guidance and destiny, while in the same hand or arm she carries ears of corn, emblematic of agricultural prosperity; in her left hand she bears a cornucopia overflowing with abundance. The encircling Greek legend records the name of the archon Philikos and the ethnic of the city of Eumenea, with the civic era date ΑΧ in the lower field. |
