Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Nerva facing right, depicted with characteristic aged features and short curly hair bound with a laurel wreath. The bust is rendered in the realist provincial style, with the truncation visible at the base. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΩΡ ΝΕΡΟΥΑϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ, distributed around the periphery of the flan.

Reverse description Frontal view of a tetrastyle or distyle temple façade with two columns surmounted by caryatid capitals, framing a cult statue of Ephesian Artemis standing in the center with lateral supports. The goddess is depicted in the characteristic many-breasted Ephesian type with stiff polos headdress and elaborate ornamentation. Denomination marks ΑϹ Γ (three assaria) appear in the field to the left and right. The civic legend ΑΙΟΛΕΩΝ ΚΑΙϹΑΡΕΩΝ ΚΥΜΑΙΩΝ is distributed around the design, identifying the issuing city of Cyme in Aeolis.
