Beschrijving voorzijde Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus Thrax facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic three-quarter back view typical of his provincial coinage. The imperial effigy is rendered in the robust provincial style of the Ionian mint, with the laurel wreath, paludamentum, and cuirass clearly articulated. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The coin bears a circular perforation near the upper rim, indicating post-antique use as a pendant or suspension piece.

Beschrijving keerzijde Athena, helmeted and draped, stands facing left in a dignified contrapposto pose, extending an olive branch in her right hand while her left hand rests on a tall spear. A round shield is propped against her left side in the field behind her figure, serving as an attribute of her martial identity. The composition reflects the civic pride of Magnesia ad Maeandrum in its patron deity, rendered in the competent but somewhat schematic provincial style of the period. The Greek magistrate legend surrounds the type in the field and along the periphery. A perforation is visible at the lower edge of the flan.
