| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gaius Julius Verus Maximus Caesar facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Severan-Gordian transitional period. The paludamentum is visible at the shoulder, and the cuirass is indicated by incised detailing. The portrait is encircled by a beaded border, with the Greek legend distributed around the periphery of the field. |
