| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius facing right, rendered in the provincial Egyptian style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The emperor's laureate wreath is visible atop his curled hair, with drapery discernible at the shoulder truncation. The encircling Greek legend partially frames the portrait within the irregular flan.
