| Obverse description | Draped and cuirassed laureate bust of Commodus, lightly bearded, facing right and seen from behind, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial portrait renders the young co-emperor in a three-quarter rear view, a presentation characteristic of certain Mysian civic bronzes of the Antonine period. The obverse legend arcs around the bust in Greek characters identifying the emperor. |
