| Beschrijving keerzijde | Dionysus reclines to the left atop a panther striding to the right, his body in a languid pose characteristic of Hellenistic divine imagery. The god raises his right hand to rest upon the crown of his head while holding a long, fillet-adorned thyrsus diagonally across the field. The panther, sacred animal of Dionysus, is rendered in dynamic walking posture beneath the reclining deity. The reverse legend, naming the strategos Tatianus and the city of Silandus, is disposed around the design within the field. |
