The emperor's curly hair and short beard are depicted with careful detail, consistent with his mature portraiture of the co-imperial period. A Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular with flat striking areas, typical of provincial bronze issues of the Antonine period. |

| 裏面の説明 | A bearded male figure, possibly a heroised local dignitary or deity identified as Deinomachos, stands nude facing left in a frontal pose. In his extended right hand he holds a patera over a small lighted altar, while his left hand rests on a tall sceptre. The composition follows the conventional honorific or divine standing figure type widely employed in Greek Imperial provincial coinage. The reverse legend naming the strategos Aurelius Proteus frames the field. |
