| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter perspective, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy displays finely rendered curled hair and beard characteristic of Macrinus's portraiture. A circular Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, framed by a beaded border. The overall style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan era, combining Roman imperial portraiture conventions with the workmanship of the Heraclean mint. |
