Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, viewed from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's effigy displays youthful features rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Viminacium's mint. A beaded border encircles the design, with the imperial titulature legend distributed around the periphery of the flan.
