At her feet, a hound runs to the right, reinforcing the hunting iconography characteristic of the cult of Artemis at Nysa. The composition is rendered in the energetic, provincial Hellenistic style typical of Lydian civic bronzes of the Severan and Gordian periods. The reverse legend naming the grammateus Aurelius Diodotos frames the scene, identifying the civic magistrate responsible for the issue. |
