In her right hand she holds a ship's rudder, symbolising her role as guardian of the city's maritime fortune, while her left arm cradles a large cornucopia overflowing with fruits, emblematic of abundance and prosperity. The figure is rendered in the provincial Roman style typical of Pamphylian civic bronzes. The ethnic legend ΑϹΠΕΝΔΙΩΝ is inscribed in the field around the figure, identifying the issuing city. |
