Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter frontal perspective, with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The Imperial effigy displays characteristic early Roman provincial style, with pronounced radiating laurel wreath and detailed pteryges on the cuirass. The Greek legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits an irregular flan with an ancient piercing near the upper left, indicating post-circulation use as a pendant or suspension piece.
