Æ31 - Gallienus (sole reign) (ΕΠΙ ΑΡΧ ΔΟΜΕϹΤΙΧΟΥ ΤΑΒΗΝΩΝ)

Tabae was a Carian inland city whose civic coinage under Gallienus reflects the administrative chaos of the 260s — a decade in which the Roman empire fractured into three competing zones and the central mint at Rome could barely supply the provinces. The magistrate name preserved in the obverse legend, Domestichos, is otherwise poorly attested, making this issue one of the few epigraphic traces of his tenure.
