| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, with tightly curled hair rendered in fine relief. The portrait exhibits the characteristic youthful features associated with Caracalla's early imperial coinage. The surrounding field bears the imperial Greek legend distributed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, typical of provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
