Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, with aegis visible, depicted from a rear three-quarter perspective in the provincial Greek style. The effigy is rendered in high relief typical of Phrygian civic coinage, with the cuirass and aegis lending an imposing martial character to the portrait. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor by his full titulature, running along the periphery of the flan.
