Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view seen from the rear, displaying the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and the overlapping scales of the cuirass in typical provincial style. The emperor's effigy is boldly struck in high relief against a plain field, with the encircling Greek legend distributed around the periphery. The flan is irregularly shaped, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of the mid-third century AD.
