| Beschrijving keerzijde | Tyche, the personification of civic fortune, stands in full figure facing left, rendered in the draped style characteristic of Mysian provincial bronzes of the Valerianic period. In her right hand she holds a ship's rudder resting upon a globe, symbolising the city's governance over its destiny, while her left arm cradles a cornucopia overflowing with fruits and grain, emblematic of abundance and prosperity. The figure occupies the central field of the coin, with the Greek magistrate's legend disposed in the surrounding area. The reverse type served to assert Hadriani ad Olympum's civic identity under the authority of the local archon Alexandros. |
