| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Saloninus (P. Licinius Cornelius Saloninus Valerianus) facing right, portrayed from a rear three-quarter perspective, as was conventional for junior co-emperors on provincial bronze coinage of this period. The effigy shows the prince in military attire with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend naming the Caesar frames the bust within the field. |
