| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Volusian facing right, portrayed from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Phrygian civic coinage of the mid-3rd century AD. A Greek legend encircles the bust within the border of the flan. The coin bears a later piercing at the lower edge, indicating secondary use as a pendant or ornament. |
