Neapolis ad Harpasum was a minor Carian city whose civic coinage under the Severans was issued in small volume and rarely surfaces today. The magistrate name partially preserved in the legend — likely a strategos or grammateus — is the kind of ephemeral local official who left no record outside the coins themselves. VI#5335 is not a common type; the Conventus of Alabanda produced far less bronze than its neighbors in the Conventus of Ephesus, and pieces attributable to Neapolis specifically are thinly represented in major collections.
