The legend ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΟΡΑ ΤΙΜΙΟϹ ΓΕΤΑϹ is a garbled honorific — almost certainly a provincial die-cutter's corruption of a titulature intended to compliment Geta alongside his father Septimius Severus. The Koinon of Cyprus, functioning as the island's league of cities under Roman administration, occasionally produced joint or associative issues during this period, and sloppy epigraphy on provincial bronzes is not unusual. What makes this piece notable is that the error was never corrected: no corrected die is known.
