Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta as Caesar, facing right and seen from the front, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The youthful effigy displays short hair and a slightly forward-tilted head characteristic of early portraits of Geta. The circular Greek legend surrounding the bust identifies the subject as Publius Septimius Geta Caesar. The coin shows green patination consistent with Egyptian provincial bronze coinage.
