The empress is depicted with fine classical portraiture, wearing a chiton with visible drapery at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend is divided around the bust, reading ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ΔΟΜΝΑ ϹΕΒΑ, identifying her as Julia Domna Augusta. The coin retains a rich green patina consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
