| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her characteristic waved and ridged hair swept back and piled in a bun at the nape of the neck, rendered in the Severan court style. The effigy is depicted in high relief at the centre of the flan. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, reading ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ. The surface shows an olive-green patina consistent with prolonged burial, with some detail loss to the hair and drapery. |
